Grow-A-Row

For those who love to garden, Grow-A-Row. Next spring as you plant your garden, please consider planting an extra row of root vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, onions, beets or turnips. Beet and Carrot seeds courtesy of T & T Seeds Ltd. are available at Winnipeg Harvest for a nominal donation.

At home or work:

*Grow an extra row (or two) of produce in your own backyard

*Encourage your neighbours, family and associates to do the same (challenge them to a year end weigh–in).

At school or community centre:

Turn Grow-A-Row into a science project and have students plant and tend to a row of vegetables for Winnipeg Harvest

*Plant a Harvest garden to be tended by club families

*Winnipeg Harvest will send a representative to give an in-class or on-site presentation

*At fall time (harvest season) bring students or families to Winnipeg Harvest to deliver their crop, and arrange for a tour and full day of activities.

To arrange a tour for your group, school or club call (204) 982-3678.
