"BRING A TIN FOR THE BIN ON YOUR WAY IN”
Excitement is building as Thursday June 19 marks the 2nd pre-season game for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Winnipeg Harvest will once again be onsite-accepting donations for the food bank.
Winnipeg Harvest thanks and recognizes the continued support of the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Football club and its fans for remembering to “Bring a Tin for the Bin” to all home games.
Fans are encouraged to support Winnipeg Harvest with a donation of a non-perishable food item. Winnipeg Harvest continues to service over 300 partner agencies across Manitoba and is very much in need of its 10 Most Wanted Food items to help replenish supplies.
10 MOST WANTED FOOD ITEMS:
Canned Fish, (tuna & salmon) and Poultry (chicken & turkey) in water
Baby Food and Formula
Canned Vegetables or Fruit
Canned Stew, Chili, Brown Beans
Peanut Butter
Dry Pasta
Rice
Canned Pasta/Spaghetti Sauce
Cereal
Canned Soup
Winnipeg Harvest is now experiencing first hand the effects of rising food prices for families. Bomber Fans can score big by Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope in Manitoba.
Winnipeg Harvest volunteers will be at every home game collecting food and monetary donations, and we wish the Winnipeg Blue Bombers a winning season!
