The media and public are welcome to attend a free MAYORALTY FORUM entitled BUILDING A LIVEABLE CITY.

 

When:  Thursday, October 19, 2006

              7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

 

Where: Eckhardt-Gramatte Hall,

              University of Winnipeg campus

 

Who:    Moderated by CBC journalist Crystal Goomansingh

 

The four registered Mayoralty candidates – Sam Katz, Kaj Hasselriis, Marianne Cerilli and Ron Pollock - are invited by a broad coalition of community to address four major themes that affect our physical and social civic life. 

 

·        POVERTY, SOCIAL HOUSING AND PANHANDLING IN WINNIPEG

·        SUBURBAN GROWTH, SPRAWL AND DOWNTOWN HEALTH

·        GREENING OUR PHYSICAL ASSETS

·        DIVERSITY, CULTURE AND ARTS IN WINNIPEG
