For immediate release

WILD, WILD HORSES COULDN’T DRAG ME AWAY…

…  from the 2nd Annual Winnipeg Harvest Celebrity Bowl Auction featuring a raw, unpainted ceramic bowl signed by all four Rolling Stones.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts autographed the Winnipeg Harvest bowl solely because of the untiring efforts of Winnipeg sales and promotions rep for EMI Music Canada, Joanne MacKenzie, who was recently on tour with the band.

The bowl is truly a collector’s item from what is commonly regarded as the World’s Greatest Rock n’Roll Band.

“It is certainly very rare that all four members of the Stones sign anything,” says respected Winnipeg author and music historian, John Einarson.  “That makes this bowl particularly unique and appealing.”

The Rolling Stones autographed bowl is now being offered for sale to the general public by sealed bid.  Please note there is a reserve bid of $1,000.  Our title sponsor, Investors Group South will accept written, sealed bids from the public at 100- 1345 Waverley from now until Thursday, November 9 at 4:30 PM CST.  Public sealed bids will be included at the 2nd Annual Winnipeg Harvest Empty Bowls Celebrity Auction on November 9 at the Niakwa Country Club where 200 guests will also have a chance to enter sealed bids.  The top Rolling Stones bowl bidder will be announced during the live auction, between 7:00 and 8:00 pm.

A total of 37 bowls signed by national and international stars ranging from athletes to entertainers to authors will be offered for auction.  Three bowls – autographed by Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Steve Nash – are also posted on E-Bay at www.parego.ca/harvest.htm from now until November 9, 2006.

All proceeds from the auction will go to assist those who are hungry in our community.  Currently, Winnipeg Harvest provides emergency food assistance to more than 39,000 people each month.
